PatchMon – Linux Patch Monitoring Solution

I would like to introduce a relatively new Linux Patch Management and Automation solution called PatchMon. First introduced around August 2025, PatchMon is an open source project started by Muhammad Ibrahim (Iby).

Written in Go and best run in a Docker instance, PatchMon manages and tracks Linux packages (now Windows too) and tracks your hosts using Agents.

It allows you to schedule patch cycles, manage host inventory, run reports and alerts. Some additional functionality that will benefit many is Compliance Scanning, Docker monitoring, Remote SSH from within the platform, a REST API, and many integrations including ProxMox LXC and Ansible.

Development is via a fortnightly release cycle and there is a strong community including Discord and GitHub Discussions.

Documentation is probably some of the best we’ve come across for a project like this, so kudos to the team!

You can find the GitHub repo here – contributions and feedback are always welcomed!

The web site with all other info is at PatchMon.Net

We’d be interested to hear what you think of the project! We’ve been using it to manage patching across various Linux servers for some time and it’s so far working really well. We recommend that you check out PatchMon and see what it can do for you! 😀
