Sorry to whoever I have stolen this phrase from, apologies. I really love it though – and I will use it as a basis to formally introduce those that don’t know to my new campaign called ‘Stay Beautiful‘.

This is a new campaign I’ve set up to help people learn to love life how they were destined to (I would say how God intended to) but don’t want to get religion into this.

Its aim is to promote a narcotic free (my biggest bug bear!), smoke free and reduced alcohol life. It is not promoting the straightedge movement – not yet, at least. It could well move on to this at a later stage. But this is a big commitment, far too big for most people.

Some people may find this hypocritical, yes I did smoke, and used to drink probably too much – and have touched cannabis and other things I would rather not mention here, but I was young. That was a while back, and I’m now 20 and decided to make 2010 a memorable year!

I quit smoking on my own accord, and vouched that I would cut drinking which I have done. I don’t need this to have a good time. Smoking never was cool. It doesn’t calm you down, that’s clinically proven backed up with fact – it increases your heart rate! You have a better chance of calming down by going for a walk, for example.

Drinking doesn’t get you anywhere – if you don’t feel good, drinking won’t help. It’s a depressant.

And finally what personally gets me the worst – is seeing pretty girls smoke or take drugs, or drink to the point of excess. I don’t need this and you don’t need it either.

Better off, I beg that you don’t use the site at all.

I came across a site called Squidoo and they make a good summary of some of the better apps you can get for your BlackBerry.

I opted out of getting a new iPhone and decided to get a BlackBerry (I like to call them CrackBerry)

I had previously used an LG GT505. I dropped this in the toilet (don’t ask!)  soon after getting it but it had done it’s fair share after I had gotten it working again by thoroughly drying it out….

I had decided I’d gotten bored of having a touch screen. So in due course opted for a BlackBerry 9700 – it’s great, it syncs with my Mac, the keyboard looks small but it’s very useable and I have big hands. I am very pleased with it!

It does everything I want of it at the minute.

I shall update when I come across things I like.

Please note: the battery life isn’t great when you have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Facebook app, Twitter app, and MySpace app, as well as the email being pushed to your phone. Switch these off to preserve battery life. On the other hand it is a smarthphone. Oh, and the camera isn’t amazing, but then I have a camera if you want good photos!

Unfortunately in an attempt to cut spam on the site, Twitter limit the number of people you can follow. If you are following a greater number of people than are following you you will be unable to follow more at a certain point.
With these sites you are able to unfollow people who aren’t following you back so that you can even your numebrs out and follow more people.

Follow Friday

So, those of you who are new to the game may have heard of this term, but aren’t too sure what it’s about. Basically, every Friday you ‘tweet’ your favourite people on Twitter to your other followers using #FollowFriday @tobyw7 for example.

Like me, when you end up communicating with several people over the week it gets hard to choose who to mention.

With The Twitter Tag Projetct’s tool this is made simple by analyzing the people you have most been connecting with.

Make sure you’re logged in to Twitter on the web and it’ll let you tweet your #FollowFriday ‘s easily.

I believe I am growing old, I am listening to Radio 2 driving to and from work, and I have decided that there is too much choice when it comes to buying a damn mobile phone.

Since the release of the iPhone every phone needs look like or act like an iPhone with a touchscreen and smartphone-esque features without being a smartphone, and also I don’t want to have something that costs four hundred pounds all the time.

If I wanted a camera I would buy a camera, not want to have a phone with a 12Mpx camera, or GPS. The iPhone is nice, but it costs to have it.

Today, I put my SIM card in a battered up Nokia I found in Lost Property – the battery still held a charge and the phone then rang when I called my number. Simple!

In these busy times, many people seem to have forgotten the meaning of ‘self respect’ – odd isn’t it.

I am a big hypocrite, but we all learn from our mistakes, and I intend to better myself.

It doesn’t take a lot but I aim to be true to myself and look after what I’ve been given.
